I worked for Schwartz Exterminating in California for a while, and honestly, it was a nightmare from start to finish. First of all, the owner, Anthony, is just a kid. He’s incredibly sneaky and expects you to be on call 24/7, no matter how much time or effort you’ve already put in. We were paid a flat daily rate, so it didn’t matter how many hours we worked—there was no overtime or any appreciation for the extra effort. The worst part? We never had the supplies we needed to actually help customers. Everything was cheap and always in short supply. If you tried to go above and beyond for a client, it was nearly impossible because Anthony didn’t care about quality, only cutting corners. One day, I got rear-ended at a red light while on the job. It was clearly the other person’s fault, and I followed the proper steps, exchanging information. Anthony was completely unavailable at the time, but when I told him about it later, I got scolded for not just driving off! He even said he’d hold my pay because of the accident, which was totally out of my control. That was the last straw for me. I quit on the spot, and I seriously urge anyone thinking about working here to reconsider. This isn’t a real company, it’s a joke. And to customers—honestly, you’re better off handling your pest problems on your own. This company won’t help you.
Company is run by a 20 year old kid in his mom’s garage. The kid talked a big game as if he has more customers than the electric company, but after a few weeks stopped showing up and still charged me, than made up an excuse that didn’t make any sense.
